Course seven. Before you load anything, know what finished looks like. This is data health, your scoreboard for the month.

Lesson 1, what implemented means

Lesson one. What implemented means. Not a pile of uploaded files, a complete estate record. Every agreement carrying a vendor, an expiry date, a notice period, and an annual value. A file dump leaves the benchmarks blind and the calendar empty. The estate record is the target.

Already wired

This score scans on every load and states the share of checks you have covered. Already wired means the platform gives you credit for what is done, so you can see the estate filling in rather than staring at everything at once. Progress you can point a finance team at.

Where to start

Where to start reads your gaps back as a ranked plan, each naming the feature it would unlock. The order matters. You close gaps not as you notice them, but in the order they pay off. The platform has already done that sorting.

Gaps, biggest payoff first

Gaps, biggest payoff first, is that idea made concrete. The one at the top of this list is the one to work today. Park a gap if you must, with an owner against it, but never let it drift unnamed.

Lesson 2, door one

Lesson two. Now the four doors, each sized to what you carry. Door one, a single agreement. When the point is this one document and you want it benchmarked now, you upload it here and the desk takes it from there.

Push a proposal to the desk

Push a proposal to the desk. Drop one file or twenty, PDF or Word, each read as it lands. The vendor, value, term, and seats fill in to check. Minutes per document, the door to reach for whenever benchmarking is the point.

Door two, the whole folder

Door two, the whole folder at once. When you already hold a contract folder, do not feed it one file at a time. Drop the entire tree, subfolders and clutter included, and let the platform do the reading.

Organized in one drop

Your contract estate, organized in one drop. Up to three hundred files a run, filed into one folder per vendor, each agreement judged current, due, expired, superseded, or perpetual. One drag, then three short questions at the end.

The three questions

Those three questions are where the folder door earns its keep. Which genuinely due renewals go on your calendar, whether to review your biggest vendors by spend, and which contracts deserve an analyst benchmark. Nothing moves without your yes.

Door three, the estate

Door three, an estate from a spreadsheet or the tool you are leaving. Hundreds to thousands of documents, plus the register. This is Migration Studio, a guided run holding everything in staging until an owner signs it off.

What the studio adds

The studio does three things the folder door cannot. It stages everything, invisible until go live. It brings your register along, mapped column by column with a dry run before a single row is written. And it reconciles duplicates and superseding agreements with evidence, each one yours to accept.

Door four, connect the source

Door four, connect the source and let it flow. Migration is an event, currency a pipeline. An owner wires the systems keeping the estate true.

Your stack, wired in

Your stack, wired in. Contract intake, spend, usage, license discovery, procurement, invoices. Each feeds a part of the estate, no rekeying.

Contract intake

Contract intake, switch it on first. Email rails, DocuSign, Ironclad, folder watch, so newly signed paper files itself from now on.

Email-in

Email-in gives each rail its own private address. Forward a signed contract to it, and the document arrives, gets read, and files itself against the right vendor. The pipeline running on its own.

Lesson 3, sequencing and the target

Lesson three. Load in order, contracts, then invoices, then usage. Your finish line is this score turning green. Two questions. What does implemented mean, and where the day thirty target is read.

Your turn

Now you. Pick a door for each document class. Give it fifteen minutes. Then Course eight, uploading contracts one at a time.
